 Yesterday, (Thursday 13th May 2010) Cllr. Alan Weeks was elected as the new Group Leader of the Liberal Democrats on New Forest District Council.
Alan first served on NFDC from 1987 to 1990 and again from 2003 until the present.
He had previously also served as the leader in 2006-07.
He replaces David Harrison in the role and Maureen Robinson has also been the leader in the recent past.
Alan said “Lib Dems believe in recycling, we also have a number of very capable Councillors in our group, so it is really unsurprising that the group leaders job has been recycled in recent years”.
