Recent Sunday Mail and Echo articles have featured a picture of Terry when presenting veterans badges.
Terry didn’t put on uniform in public without clearing it with the Army. He added a brass “R” badge to comply with the regulations at the time. He received a call from Brigadier Griffiths who agreed that he had done so. We will not dignify any political aspects of this issue with a response apart from these facts.
Terry Scriven is continuing to visit veterans who qualify for recognition. Terry says, “It really gives me a great lift to meet fellow veterans when I visit them at home to present their badges.
They have been prepared to put their lives on the line for our Country. I have also enjoyed the presentation events at Totton British Legion when I took out the mothballs and put on my uniform to enhance the significance of the occasion.”

Cliff says “My family had a great day at The British Legion. I waited over 60 years for this. As to Terry’s uniform I don’t understand the fuss, the uniform is what we expect unless Her majesty was doing it!”
