New Forest Liberal Democrats are celebrating an election victory in the Holbury & Blackfield ward.
Liberal Democrat candidate, David Walker, beat off a challenge from the Conservative candidate, Phillip Pearce-Smith in a two way fight to win a seat on Fawley Parish Council.
The Liberal Democrat candidate polled 620 votes, against 367 votes for the Conservative candidate, a majority of 253 votes.
The turn-out was 19.6%.
The newly elected Councillor David Walker said “I would like to thank everybody who worked so hard to help me win the seat and to all those who voted.
I will do my very best to serve the local community”. |
