| Calmore Litter-Pick |
Totton Liberal Democrats organised and took part in a litter pick on the Calmore Estate, along with local volunteers.
The event was a stunning success, with over a dozen of bags, full of litter, collected. The discarded items had been making an unsightly mess in the area for all to see.
The event was led by Totton North Councillor, Jacquie Shaw. She said “Actually, it was quite a bit of fun. I’m delighted that a number of local people (not even party members), decided to join us”.
Fellow Lib Dem Councillor, Jon Sawyer said “It’s a very good extra way of demonstrating our commitment to the community we serve. I’m sure we are going to do this again and again”.
