The New Forest is just a little easier to access as a result of a new cycleway, constructed between Ashurst and Lyndhurst.
Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesman, Terry Scriven, was one of the first people to use the route and declared it a first-class construction that will encourage people to visit the New Forest using pedal power.
Terry Scriven is a keen cyclist who can often be seen pedalling around the New Forest. He says “This is a fabulous facility for cyclists. Unlike other cycle routes, this one has a designated pathway which means cyclists are not sharing the same stretch of tarmac with other traffic. I’m also impressed by the large number of sturdy cycle racks that have been installed at the Lyndhurst end of the cycle route.”
Terry adds “This is a shining example of how things should be done in the New Forest area. We now need to put pressure on the District and County Council to do much more of this”. |
