Jean Vernon-Jackson along with Jan Harber and Martina Humber organised yet another successful and informative day in getting Sharon Bowles MEP along to Lymington.
Sharon gave a wonderful insight into life as an MEP in Brussels and Strasbourg and how the discussions there impact on our daily life in the New Forest.
I think everyone present was also impressed by the tremendous amount of time, well over an hour; Sharon gave to answering so many well thought out and pretty searching questions from the audience.
The day got even better when news filtered through that Sharon had been selected to be our number one candidate here in the South for the European Elections in 2009.
I was delighted that I had been able to join so many members from the West at such a wonderful event, which was so well attended. It was one of those occasions where you will always remember where you were when news is first heard.
To mark the occasion of the visit and Sharon’s success Martini presented her with a lovely bouquet of flowers. Congratulations Sharon Bowles MEP and to the Lymington and Pennington Branch on hosting such a memorable visit. |
