Lib Dems active in Hythe
Last updated  Monday, 16th October 2006
Liberal Democrats have been active in Hythe over the weekend. District Councillor, Brenda Smith hosted an activity morning that saw lots more letters being delivered to local residents, on the topic of cuts in local health services.

Brenda says "The Liberal Democrats are campaigning on the very things that concern most people, including the threat of closure to our local community hospital. This is a very bad time for the Conservatives to add to concerns with cuts in adult social services".

Hythe Councillor Stan Wade says "Only the Liberal Democrats are fighting cuts in local health services and Social services". Fellow Councillor, Chris Harrison says "This is a cause that the party and local people feel very strongly about. Either we can persuade the Tory party to change policy or we can displace them and keep these vital services running".
