Totton has a new Learning Centre with easy access to all in the town centre. The new facility has been open since last September but the official launch took place today with a speech and ribbon cutting ceremony by Chairman of Totton & Eling Town Council, David Harrison.
The centre is based at Junction Road, in a building formerly known as The Junction Road Centre, prior to that, St.Mary's Hall. Totton College have worked in partnership with the Town Council, investing heavily to transform the building into a comfortable, modern and fully equipped learning centre.
College Principal, Mark Bramwell, was on hand at the ceremony. He told reporters that the new centre would provide a terrific chance for local people to access first class training and educational facilities.
Councillor David Harrison said "I'm really thrilled that the centre has been retained for community use, especially in such an imaginative and important way. This is a great example of partnership working that benefits the whole community".
