Chairman of Marchwood Parish Council, Keith Petty

Marchwood Parish Council has a new Chairman, Liberal Democrat Councillor, Keith Petty. Keith was elected at a full council meeting this evening. It is believed that this is the first time a Liberal Democrat has ever become Chairman of the Council, previously a bastion of Independent Councillors.
Keith will be supported by Daryl Hindle, (Independent), who has been elected to the Vice-Chairmanship, having previously served for 3 years as Chairman.
Keith says "It is a very great honour to be elected as Chairman of the Council. I will do my best to ensure that all Councillors work together in the best interests of Marchwood. There are some exciting times ahead, not least a lot of good ideas that need to be applied as we roll out the Parish plan". |
