| The Conservative controlled County Council are set to spend £40 million of council taxpayers' money on the refurbishment of staff offices at Winchester headquarters. The sky high price tag has sent shock waves through Hampshire, following yet another inflation busting council tax increase.
Liberal Democrat Opposition County Councillor, David Harrison, says "I don't think the hard pressed council tax payers of Hampshire will welcome this news, especially at a time when council tax is rising and budgets in Adult Social Care are being slashed.
