Some of the most distressed roads in Totton are beginning to get some tender, loving care. Contractors employed by Hampshire County Council have been working in Testwood Crescent, upgrading the pavements and replacing badly damaged grass verges with new concrete grids that will enable vehicles to park on them whilst maintaining a green appearance by allowing grass to grow through the grids.
Local County Councillor, David Harrison, has been checking progress of the work. As part of his role, he chooses to inspect the division regularly, often accompanied by Highway Engineers.
He says "I lived in Testwood Crescent about 15 years ago. Even then, the state of the pavements was poor and problems with parking were very real. I'm really pleased that this long awaited work will improve things for the current residents.
