Totton By-Election is going to be a tough battle

The Campaign to win the by-election in West Totton for a seat on the New Forest District Council is reported to be going "Very Well", by Lib Dem candidate, Len Harris.

A large team of Liberal Democrats have been supporting Len in his efforts to get elected onto the District Council. The election day is Thursday, 20th July.

A team of canvassers have been knocking on doors, almost every night for the past 2 weeks. This has helped bolster support for the popular Lib Dem Town Councillor, but also helped identify key issues for the campaign.

Councillor Len Harris has been a major contributor to Totton & Eling Town Council, overseeing projects like the Hangar Farm Development, the West Totton Bowls Centre and a very large number of facilities for young people. He says "I'm really chuffed to have had so much help from party members. The door knocking operation has even been bolstered by four County Councillors. My instinct is that the result is going to be very, very close between the Conservative candidate and myself. We will keep working because the result will likely have a big influence on how the District Council treats Totton in the future."
