A former soldier with the Royal Engineers, a well-known member of the local Lib Dem Focus team. Mike has lots of experience and in the past has served on the county council and the police authority.

"I have enjoyed working for the community during this last session of the council. I will be working hard in this election to get the support I need to carry on the work.

With several members of my family in the police force I naturally have a keen interest in law and order issues".

A former family doctor, Miranda Whitehead has extensive experience as a district councillor. She has also been a health policy adviser to the Liberal Democrats nationally.

"My family have lived in the area for generations and I am fortunate to have lived and worked here as a family doctor and district councillor for the local villages.

My work has shown me the value of partnership and good communication within local communities and I would use this experience to try and improve the quality of life for local residents".
