Maureen has represented Hythe people for almost 20 years. There have been many changes for the better over that time and Maureen has played a leading part in achieving many improvements to the village centre.
She has also played an important part in campaigns including successful opposition to the container port proposals at Dibden Bay and more recently, working to get marine industry jobs and training opportunities back into the former American Base in Shore Road.
A former long serving Council Chair of Housing, Maureen is still active in the provision of housing as a board member of a local housing association.
She also chairs a local charity that provides help and advice to people with drug and alcohol problems. In addition Maureen chairs a Hampshire Health Service Trust.
