Both David and Alan are Totton Town Councillors, David being the current Chairman of the Council.

David is also Totton South and Marchwood County Councillor, and he serves on the Fire Authority.

David regularly attends the Rushington Manor and Eling Community Association meetings

Alan was the Chairman of Totton Town Council last year and is currently Chairman of the important Policy & Resources Committee.

Alan is the other County Councillor serving Totton North. He is a member of the National Park Authority.

Alan is the Chairman of Hounsdown Community Association.
