Last updated Saturday 28-Apr-2007 6:49 PM
Chris Harrison
Chris Harrison Chris lives in Dibden and has lived in the area for almost 40 years. He is married with grown up children and 3 grand children.

A former British Telecom manager he now has a small retail shop. He was a Governor at Applemore College for 15 years He has been a member of the Parish Council for 8 years and a member of the District Council for the last 4 years. On the Parish council Chris is currently the chairman of the Amenities Committee.

At the District Council he serves on the Crime and Disorder Review Panel and the Standards Committee. His pet hate is antisocial behaviour and was one of the prime campaigners in the local Lib Dem policy of getting tough with this crime against the community, leading to the employment our own Community Support officers, who have already started to issue fixed penalty tickets for antisocial acts.

Chris’ diligent approach to his Council work is shown by his 100% attendance at District Council meetings.
Stan Wade
Stan Wade Stan Wade is currently a Member of New Forest District Council, Hythe & Dibden Parish Council and The New Forest National Park Authority

Stan has served as a Hythe & Dibden District and Parish Councillor for almost 26 years, is a founder Member of the National Park Authority and has a remarkable record of achievement.

On joining the District Council, he managed to secure the land and temporary buildings for our first Community Centre (it used to be called ‘Stan’s shed’!). He then produced another temporary building for the Waterside’s first Citizens’ Advice Bureau. Both now enjoy permanent accommodation.

A former Chairman of both District and Parish Councils Stan currently serves on General Purposes & Licensing, Leisure Review and Final Accounts committees. He is also a Trustee of the Community Association, Citizens Advice Bureau, Waterside Age Concern and Forest Front Disabled Walk Nature Reserve.
