District Council Candidates for Milton - Wyn Davies and Ben Earwicker
Last updated Saturday 28-Apr-2007 6:44 PM
Wyn Davies
Wyn Davies

Wyn Davies is an internationally respected figure in his field of maritime heritage, whether working for a leading UK engineering consultancy or as an expert advisor to the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Wyn has served as a town councillor for sixteen years, most recently as chairman of the planning committee. During this time he has led the efforts to persuade the NFDC to understand the damage their planning decisions are doing to the town.

Wyn says, “We are at last seeing a change in planning thought, but we must keep the pressure on.” Electing Wyn would send a message to the planners that his work on behalf of the town will continue.

Ben Earwicker
Ben Earwicker

Ben has already served for an eleven year period on the NFDC, when he was very much involved with housing and planning.

A local man whose family roots in New Milton go back some 200 years, Ben has served on the Town council for 16 years, during which time he was responsible for setting up the town’s only conservation area in Old Milton and on the Forest Arts Centre committee for over ten years.

As a sufferer from MS Ben has much recent experience of disability issues and health provision. He is a vociferous campaigner on green issues, provision of facilities for the town’s youth and against over development.
